Sunday, 23 September 2018 - 5.14 Mb - pdf - In EU food, cooking, sitting at table, going to market to buy fresh and seasonal products, can be considered a ritual, a benchmark of our national and cultural identity. But food is not simply eating. It can be considered as an art. It is not surprising that in our countries it has got a special place in artistic production, from rock carvings to contemporary art. This book is a collection of healthy, tasty and artsy food from Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Slovakia The main aim of this booklet "Healthy, Tasty and Crafty" is to collect the most common traditional healthy recipes of the five Countries involved in the Project and to show how food is also important in Art and how it is represented in a  lot of famous paintings and sculptures. It is very interesting to observe that the simplest and healthiest traditional recipes are all linked to the rural tradition in each country with their typical local products. A common root may be noticed  among the partner Countries in the agri-food  sector. Also  the climate and geographic location are very influential. We intend to promote healthy food, through positive traditional eating habits, opposed to the junk food of the modern fast food and takeaway restaurants young people usually attend, where the largest amount of unhealthy food is often consumed. In conclusion, our ambition is to make our booklet as a model for other students, a sort of starting point for the future school communities and families since it may represent a common useful tool to share.
